Overview
The Horton Grand Hotel is located in the heart of the downtown San Diego area, and it is one of the most famous hotels in the city thanks to the rich history it offers. This hotel was originally built in the late 1800s, but it was torn down in the 1970s, with the bricks being numbered when were removed. It was rebuilt in 1986.
The rooms at the hotel include a range of amenities and features, including air conditioning and free wireless Internet. There are connecting in adjoining rooms available. The rooms have blackout drapes, and the rooms are individually decorated. Rooms also have HD TVs with premium channels, along with a coffee/tea maker, iron and ironing board, private bathroom, desk, and hair dryer. Guests will even find fireplaces in the rooms.

Pros (+) The lobby isn’t so beautiful and the rooms are quaint and really comfortable with a touch of elegance. I wouldn’t definitely recommend the hotel and absolutely stay there again on our next visit to San Diego!
Pros (+) The rooms are a funky mix of the modern and old wood antiques - we loved it. Nice and clean, although could have done with an extra blanket.
Cons (-) The bathroom was SUPER small. :) But we survived. There was a room service menu in the room but when we called they said they weren't offering room service - a little odd but we found a great place nearby.

Pros (+) Very clean room, called for early check in. Gave us very a tiny beautiful room with balcony, great bar and wonderful breakfast.
Cons (-) Valet was so expensive, fireplace never worked, our room was very very small. I did not get a call back from the lost and found. I left my personal pillow, called back twice they never responded. It was hard to sleep from the noise outside.
